Her Interview
Ten minutes with Lindsey
01What do you attribute your success to?
I attribute my success to an entrepreneurial mindset, the ability to apply transferable skills from previous roles—particularly in analytics and merchandising—and strong marketing and analytical capabilities. These strengths have enabled me to adapt to new challenges, identify opportunities, and make informed decisions that drive results. Equally important is my commitment to continuous learning and growth, which helps me remain adaptable, expand my expertise, and succeed in an ever-evolving professional landscape.
02What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
Find your voice and be confident. Once you gain confidence in what you're doing, you can find your voice and speak up. That's one thing that I've always had to do throughout my career. When you find your voice and you start getting your confidence, then you start becoming a leader in ways that you never thought you could be. I always start there to help build their confidence in what they know, teach them things they don't, so that they can keep growing their confidence and find their voice and speak up when they need to and feel okay about it. A lot of people get nervous, but they have to get past that if they want to be able to persevere in the business world.
03What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
The challenges now are really battling the economic front right now. We're a small business, and small businesses are struggling in our area. I think it's just a matter of trying to be relevant and being a little bit ahead, and also being knowledgeable about changes. You don't have to be the complete expert, but at least knowledgeable about the ever-changing things going on within your field and the business, just to have an idea so you can stay on top of your game. It's moving fast. That's the hardest part right now. Everything is just moving so fast.
04What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
The values that are most important to me in both my professional and personal life are confidence, continuous learning, mentorship, and work–life balance. I believe confidence enables effective decision-making and leadership, while a commitment to learning fosters growth and adaptability. I am passionate about mentoring and developing others, helping them reach their full potential and achieve their goals. At the same time, I value maintaining a healthy work–life balance, as it supports long-term success, well-being, and meaningful relationships.
