Ten minutes with Lindsey
01What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
I think that this has been kind of a common theme that I come back to throughout, you know, going from young 20s into my 30s, is just not being stuck to an old version of yourself. I feel like a lot of times when people start to feel kind of in a rut, they try to revert back to who they used to be, but who they used to be is how they ended up where they are stuck. And so a lot of what I've learned is about reinventing myself, and allowing myself to let go of dreams that I've outgrown.
02What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
It's so funny, I was actually just talking about it with my fiance last night. I was so scared to make the transition from having permanent makeup and, like, building all the success and, like, a, you know, somewhat of a good name here in the Phoenix and Scottsdale area for my business to transition into something in 3 short years. But the reality is, is, like, all the fear was in anticipation for making that decision, and when I made the decision, I have never felt like… I literally have goosebumps talking about it, like, I just feel so onset. buyer, because I'm committing to myself. I'm believing in myself, taking that action and that risk to start over. Is, like, the greatest… piece of love that you can give yourself, because that's saying, you know what, I will show up for you whether you fail or whether you succeed, because you're brave enough to take that risk.
