About lindsey
Lindsey Parks is a pediatric pharmacist based in Mount Juliet, Tennessee, with more than 7 years of experience in the healthcare and pharmacy fields. After completing pharmacy school, she began her career at Walgreens as a market pharmacist, volunteering for opportunities including leading one of the first drive-through COVID testing sites in Nashville, which was women-led, and administering COVID vaccines at skilled nursing facilities. She later served as a pharmacy manager for several years before transitioning to her current outpatient role with pediatrics, where she has worked for over 2 years. In her daily responsibilities, Parks reviews patient charts to ensure medications align with weight and age requirements, performs calculations, makes interventions and recommendations to providers, and handles dispensing while addressing issues such as excipient reactions by suggesting tablet crushing methods mixed with water. She takes pride in being a reliable resource for providers, as demonstrated in a recent case where she assisted with a child's medication adjustments to reduce seizures and irritability. Parks values lifelong learning and building supportive professional relationships, aspiring to grow as a leader in pediatrics.
