About Lindsey

Lindsey Preble serves as Director of Procurement at Bobo's Oat Bars in the food manufacturing industry. She began her career in food manufacturing in 2020 at JBS Pilgrims in the meat industry, starting as a procurement analyst focused on PPE during the COVID period before advancing to roles in food ingredients and packaging as assistant category manager, category manager, and global procurement manager. Prior to that, she worked in supply chain and procurement at EnviroTech Services, a manufacturing company producing dust control and de-icing products. Preble earned a Bachelor's of Science in Mathematics from the University of Northern Colorado in 2015 and holds a CPSM, Certified Professional in Supply Management, credential. Her expertise centers on strategic sourcing, supplier relationship management, and operational support. She is an active member of the Institute for Supply Management Denver chapter. Preble attributes her success to a strong work ethic and grit, emphasizing the importance of seeing projects through to completion. 01What do you attribute your success to?

I think I have a hard work ethic and a lot of grit. I just don't give up on stuff. I like to see things through.

02What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

Keep learning. If an opportunity comes up that sounds interesting, don't say no. Raise your hand and learn it. Get hands-on experience. Roll up your sleeves and figure it out.

03What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?

There's a lot of opportunity in procurement and supply chain with many job postings. Opportunity to integrate supply chain and procurement with AI for better purchasing decisions, risk mitigation using weather patterns and geopolitical risks.

04What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

Communication, accountability, and trust. I've managed people and if you act just to your peers, those are the best ones.
