Her Interview

Ten minutes with Lini

01What do you attribute your success to?

I attribute my success to converting challenges into opportunities. Every time I entered a new industry- automotive, semiconductor, telecom, energy - I could have been overwhelmed by everything I didn't know. Instead, I looked for what was familiar.

When I transitioned from automotive to energy, I mapped the standards between the two industries and focused on the similarities, like compliance requirements and process governance. Suddenly the learning curve wasn't a wall; it was a bridge from what I already knew.

That mindset has carried me through my whole career. A new domain, a new regulation, a new technology - none of it is truly starting from zero if you know how to connect it back to your experience. The challenge itself becomes the opportunity.

02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?

The best advice I ever received is that your domain doesn't matter - what matters is the experience you bring and your willingness to learn.

Early in my career, I worried that switching industries would set me back. That advice freed me. Quality, process discipline, and problem-solving translate everywhere; only the vocabulary changes.

Learning never stops. Even after 20+ years, I keep investing in myself - first an Executive MBA, now a Master's in Analytics, and continuous learning in AI along the way.

03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

Don't be afraid, and don't wait until you feel fully ready - take the risk. Pursue what you truly love rather than chasing money, because passion sustains you through the hard seasons in a way a paycheck never will.

Trust your intuition. You will meet doubters, and some of them will be loud. Block out that noise. I have built my career and my life on faith, honesty, integrity, compassion, and dedication to truth, and those values have never failed me.

When you work from that foundation, you don't need everyone's approval - the results speak for themselves.

04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?

The biggest challenge and the biggest opportunity is AI adoption. There is so much to learn and endless material available, and it's easy to drown in it. The real skill is identifying which AI applications actually create value in your specific domain. In quality and process work, that means finding where AI can strengthen root cause analysis, audit readiness, and governance without compromising the rigor these environments demand.

I genuinely believe that in the long run, these tools will make us more efficient and give us better work-life balance. The professionals who thrive won't be the ones who resist AI or the ones who chase every trend, they'll be the ones who learn to apply it thoughtfully in their own field.

05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

We all go through unplanned life events and transitions, and there is no reset button. I have learned that resilience matters more than any perfect plan. When something knocks you off course - a career change, a family challenge, an immigration journey, anything, you have to give yourself permission to pause, rebuild, and return stronger and more self-assured. That is how you keep going in this competitive world.

Along with resilience, I hold on to faith, honesty, integrity, and compassion. These values keep me grounded whether I am leading a process transformation at work or supporting my family at home. I believe that if you stay dedicated to truth and treat people with kindness, success follows -maybe not on your timeline, but it follows.
