Lisa Maria Alexander Hamilton: Speaker: Lisa Alexander Hamilton, Founder, Legacy & Prosper ConsultingWhat does being an Influential Woman mean to you?Lisa Alexander Hamilton: To me, an influential woman is not defined by her title, her achievements, or the room she enters. She is defined by the lives she touches, the doors she opens, and the courage she gives others to believe in what is possible. Influence is using your voice, your gifts, and your experiences to serve others with purpose. It is leading with integrity, building with wisdom, and creating opportunities that extend beyond yourself. As a woman, wife, mother, entrepreneur, and financial educator, I'm passionate about helping families and communities build a stronger future. I believe true influence is not being seen. It's about making sure others feel seen, supported, and empowered to grow. That is what influential women means to me, women who lead with heart and leave a legacy of impact for generations to come. What's one piece of advice you would give to younger women chasing their dreams?Lisa Alexander Hamilton: My advice is to start before you feel fully ready. Your dreams may begin small, but it still deserves your faith, your preparation, and your consistency. Do not compare your beginnings to someone else's middle. Keep learning, building with wisdom. Ask for help when you need it, and stay committed to the purpose God placed in your heart. Every step you take with courage and integrity is building the future you were created to lead.

Her Interview

Ten minutes with Lisa

01What do you attribute your success to?

My journey from the nursing field to childcare business for over 15 years, then to insurance and financial education after the pandemic as a single mom, driven by faith and desire to empower women in financial transitions after personal challenges like divorce and business closure.

02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?

Lead with purpose, build something meaningful to serve people in your community, let values guide decisions, focus on solving real-world problems, keep learning and doing the right thing for sustainable success and legacy.

03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

Lead with purpose rather than chasing profit, build credibility through integrity and consistency, genuinely care about people served, and empower others through financial education and awareness.

04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?

The field is still very heavily male dominated with only 18% women financial advisors, creating opportunities for women to connect, network, and support each other in building businesses and helping clients.

05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

Faith in God, family time, integrity, consistency, empowering children and others through business and financial education, multiple streams of income, and giving back to community through initiatives like YES and healthy meals.
