About Lisa
Lisa Billingsley serves as Executive Talent Sourcing Partner at Consigli Construction in Framingham, Massachusetts. She brings nearly two years of experience in the construction industry, with a specialization in talent acquisition and equity and inclusion. Billingsley is completing her HR certification through the University of New Hampshire, with her final course on July 31st, and is pursuing the completion of her bachelor's degree by 2028. She is a member of the Northeast Human Resources Association. Outside of her professional role, she sponsors a child through Food for the Hungry for three years and donates to St. Jude Children's Hospital. Billingsley attributes her success to the support of her family and having been blessed with good leaders. She values integrity above all, advising that if you want to be trusted, be honest. Among the advice she offers is that speed does not win and to avoid getting into a pissing contest with the skunk. She sees the biggest challenge in her field as making the industry more inclusive, including for women, with the opportunity to build sustainable partnerships with organizations to achieve that goal.

01What do you attribute your success to?
I attribute my success to the support of my family and having been really blessed to have some really good leaders.
02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
The best career advice I've ever received is do not get into a pissing contest with the skunk.
03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
Speed does not win.
04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
The biggest challenge is to make it a much more inclusive industry, and that includes women. The opportunity is to build sustainable partnerships with different organizations in order to become more inclusive.
05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
Integrity is everything. If you want to be trusted, be honest.
