About Lisa
I started my career in 2013 at the Bronx District Attorney's Office, and it was definitely eye-opening on the importance of being a good prosecutor and assessing those cases for the community. The volume there in the Bronx is significant, and you have to be able to zealously assess them and make sure the right thing is happening for the victim, the defendant, and the community as a whole, and make sure justice is being delivered. I was there for about 5 years, prosecuting high-end, higher felonies, assault ones, and attempted murders. I then applied to work for the Nassau County District Attorney's Office with District Attorney Madeline Singus, and she hired me. I was in the Vehicular Crimes Bureau for about 3 years until 2021. I had been appearing before a county court judge, Felice Maraca, and he hired me as his principal law clerk in 2021, so I served in that position until December 2025. He was an acting Supreme Court Justice, so we handled both criminal and civil cases here in Nassau County Supreme Court. As of January 1st, I opened my own law firm on Long Island. I am a Long Island resident, and it's been a dream of mine to run my own practice, so it was something I knew I wanted to do at some point in my life. My heart is kind of split in two places. I do criminal defense work, which hits a special part of your heart. You really want to investigate and make sure that you're zealously defending your client's rights and interests and that you're holding the district attorney to abide by your client's constitutional rights. I am on the 18B panel, which in New York State is the panel of private attorneys that provide legal services for individuals who can't afford an attorney. I also do civil law, as the last four years I was in Supreme Court handling civil cases like labor law cases, breach of contracts, medical malpractice, and motor vehicle accidents, along with some family matters. I like the variety of legal issues. I want to understand many different areas of the law. I find it interesting. It's called the practice of law for a reason - you're always learning, so I find an interest in the law constantly changing on a daily basis.
