01What do you attribute your success to?
I believe my success is rooted in two things: a commitment to continuous growth and a genuine passion for people.
No matter how many years of experience I have, I believe growth never stops. I intentionally remain in coaching relationships myself because accountability matters. Having trusted people around me who can help identify my blind spots, challenge my thinking, and encourage my continued development allows me to stay sharp, relevant, and continually improving in the work I do.
Equally important is the heart I bring to my work. While I value innovation and appreciate the role technology and AI play in today’s world, I believe lasting impact is built through human connection. My passion, empathy, and ability to build meaningful relationships are what truly set my work apart. Those relationships allow me to deeply understand the unique needs of the individuals and organizations I serve, personalize my approach, and create solutions that are both practical and transformational.
For me, one of the greatest indicators of success is when clients return and continue to trust me with their growth and development. That kind of long-standing partnership speaks to the value of leading with both expertise and heart. My eagerness to keep learning, combined with my passion for helping others grow, is what continues to drive both my work and my success.
02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
The best career advice I’ve ever received is to be confident in your value and your worth.
03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
The biggest piece of advice I would give is simple: be authentic, because authenticity equals freedom.
Take the time to get clear on what your ideal life and work truly look like. Create a vision for what you want to build, not based on someone else’s expectations or definition of success, but on what genuinely aligns with who you are. Too often, people spend their energy trying to fit into someone else’s box when the real opportunity is to create their own—to define their own footprint and lead from a place of purpose.
That clarity starts with knowing your non-negotiables. When you are deeply grounded in your mission, vision, and values, you gain the confidence to make decisions that align with who you are and what you are called to create. You begin to recognize that not every opportunity is your opportunity, and not every client is your client.
When we stop operating from fear—fear of missing out, fear of saying no, or fear of disappointing others—and instead lead with authenticity, something powerful happens: we begin to attract the people, opportunities, and relationships that are naturally aligned with our purpose.
For me, authenticity creates freedom. Freedom to lead with confidence. Freedom to work in alignment with what matters most. And ultimately, freedom to build a life and career that is both meaningful and deeply fulfilling..
04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
One of the biggest challenges in leadership and coaching today is ensuring people promoted into leadership roles have the practical skills, emotional intelligence, and resources needed to truly lead others effectively. At the same time, one of the greatest opportunities is learning how to leverage technology and AI while still maintaining the human connection, authenticity, and collaboration that drive meaningful growth and long-term success.
05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
One of the most important values in both my personal and professional life is authenticity, because I truly believe that authenticity equals freedom.
When we are fully authentic, we stop exhausting ourselves trying to fit into someone else’s expectations or measure ourselves against who we think we should be. There is incredible freedom in simply being who God created you to be. For me, authenticity creates the space for my faith, my family, my integrity, and my purpose to show up fully in every area of my life. It allows me to lead, coach, and serve from a place of truth rather than performance.
I often share that one of the greatest shifts in my own journey came when I stopped trying to sound like someone else, coach like someone else, or present myself in a way I thought others would expect. The moment I embraced, “This is Lisa,” everything changed. I may stumble over a word or not always say something perfectly, but there is freedom in showing up fully as yourself. That authenticity is what allows people to connect, trust, and grow.
The values that guide my life are reflected in my personal belief system:
Moving Life to New Heights.
H – Honesty: Building open and honest relationships
E – Excellence: Always striving for excellence
I – Integrity: Doing the right thing, even when no one is looking
G – Gratitude: Remaining grateful to God and to others
H – Heart: Loving what you do and genuinely caring for others
T – Truth: Standing firmly in your truth
S – Service: Delivering world-class service
These values shape how I lead, how I serve, and how I show up for the people I work with every day. They are the foundation of my work and the reason I am so passionate about helping others discover the freedom that comes from leading authentically and living in alignment with their values.
