Lisa Giannini
Lisa Giannini is an oncology-trained licensed esthetician, sales professional, and owner of Bloom Skin + Wellness, where she has been creating transformative experiences for clients for nearly four years. With 15 years of experience as a licensed esthetician, Lisa has built her career on combining technical skill with compassion, focusing on the unique needs of cancer patients. Her practice is grounded in providing a safe, nurturing, and personalized environment where clients can experience comfort and care during one of the most challenging times in their lives.
Lisa has been oncology-certified since 2016 and recertifies annually to remain up to date with the latest research, statistics, and treatment protocols. Her expertise allows her to provide facials and skincare treatments tailored specifically to cancer patients, carefully selecting ingredients, techniques, and massage movements that promote skin health while preventing complications. Recognizing in 2015 that oncology esthetics was a specialized field in need of dedicated professionals, she made the intentional choice to focus on wellness and well-being from the inside out—creating a space that goes beyond traditional medical or spa experiences and offers clients moments of reprieve, grounding, and rejuvenation.
In addition to her clinical practice, Lisa has extensive experience in sales and business development, having excelled with high-profile brands such as TOM FORD, Perricone MD, and Ideal Image. She leverages her consultative approach, strong communication skills, and relationship-building expertise to connect with clients, colleagues, and industry partners alike. Through Bloom Skin + Wellness, Lisa continues to advance the field of oncology esthetics, delivering holistic care that prioritizes both the physical and emotional wellness of her clients while setting new standards for what compassionate, specialized skincare can achieve.

What do you attribute your success to?
I would say my passion, number one, my passion and my desire for continued education. I'm not going to be done learning. I learn consistently. I'm always going to events, summits, or leadership events, anything educational that I can constantly learn from my peers and from leaders. There's always something to learn in this industry, and especially when it comes to oncology, those statistics change every year, so I want to make sure that I'm up to date on all of that.
What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
From my mentor Becky Kuehn with Oncology Spa Solutions, she reminds me to stay true in myself. There's a lot of different trends going on, and influencers, which is great, but I think we need to be true in ourselves and remember why we chose this industry to begin with. We need to share the knowledge that we have, and not doubt ourselves just because we see other people doing it differently.
What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
Honestly, I would give the same advice. Stay true in your values. You know, we are estheticians, we take an oath when we get our license that we will help people. Stay true in that, and remember what your original passion was. Don't get caught up in the little trends or the cosmetic part of it. For me, I think that's the most important, because you can provide the same service as someone next to you, but your passion and your commitment to helping others is what's going to stand out. Stop comparing yourself to others, grow into the best version of yourself.
What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
For me, the biggest challenge right now is networking myself to gain a full clientele in the oncology sector. I feel like just not enough people know about it yet. I feel like it needs to get out there more, and that's what I'm trying to do now. With my social media and networking events, I'm trying to get out there a little bit more and make it known that oncology esthetics is a necessary thing.
What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
Being strong in my true beliefs is most important to me. I always want to provide my clients with the utmost and genuine care. That is the reason why I left the med spa side of esthetics, because I didn't want to focus on competitive cosmetic treatments. I wanted to focus on wellness- a person's well-being from the inside out.
