Ten minutes with Lisa

01What do you attribute your success to?

I attribute my success to a strong work ethic, determination, and the drive to continuously improve and grow. I believe success comes from showing up consistently, embracing challenges, and being willing to learn from both achievements and failures. Having a positive and supportive team around me has also played an important role, as collaboration, encouragement, and shared goals create an environment where everyone can succeed. I view failure as an opportunity for growth and a valuable part of the learning process, allowing me to adapt, build resilience, and continue moving forward with confidence.

02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?

The best career advice I have ever received is to not be afraid and to pursue opportunities that challenge me, even when they feel intimidating. Growth often happens outside of my comfort zone, and taking risks has allowed me to discover new strengths, build confidence, and embrace opportunities I may not have considered before. I have learned that fear should not be a barrier to success, but rather a sign that I am pushing myself to grow, learn, and achieve new goals.

03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

My advice to young women entering this industry is to take the time to learn, remain open to coaching, and embrace every opportunity to grow. Building expertise takes patience, curiosity, and a willingness to listen to those who have more experience. I encourage women to take up space, share their ideas, and have confidence in the value they bring to the table. Never be afraid to ask questions, seek mentorship, and advocate for yourself, because your perspective and contributions matter. Growth comes from continuous learning, stepping outside your comfort zone, and believing in your ability to succeed.

04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?

One of the biggest challenges and opportunities in my field right now is helping organizations adapt to the rapidly changing role of artificial intelligence in recruiting and hiring. Many companies are still hesitant to adopt AI because of concerns around trust, implementation, and understanding how the technology can support their existing processes. At the same time, this creates a significant opportunity to educate businesses on how AI can improve efficiency, enhance decision-making, and create a more streamlined hiring experience. The challenge is finding the right balance between technology and the human connection that remains essential in building strong teams and successful organizations.

05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

The values that are most important to me in both my work and personal life are doing what is right, treating others with kindness, and taking care of the people around me. I believe that integrity, compassion, and respect are the foundation for building meaningful relationships and creating a positive impact. Whether I am working with colleagues, clients, or members of my community, I strive to lead with empathy, support others, and make decisions that reflect honesty and genuine care. By staying true to these values, I aim to create an environment where people feel valued, respected, and empowered to succeed.
