About Lisa

Lisa Laventure is a cybersecurity and technology professional with over 20 years of experience spanning information security, higher education, marketing, operations, and organizational growth. She currently serves as Senior Information Systems Security Manager at the RTX BBN Cambridge facility, a role she has held since October 2025, with a focus on cyber compliance while enjoying strategy and innovation. Previously, she worked as a strategy resource manager overseeing workforce intelligence for classified programs, as cyber Section Lead in System Security Engineering for the Ghost Eye system, as senior principal software engineer and Deputy Cyber Lead for the Patriot missile system, and as Department of Defense Program Manager in Field Marketing at Phillips Healthcare. She is a 2023 Raytheon Innovator recipient and received the Eager to Win Award at Phillips Healthcare. Lisa holds a Master of Public Administration from the University of New Hampshire and a Bachelor of Science in Aviation Management and Business from Southern New Hampshire University. She taught at the master's level at New England College for five years and serves as Treasurer of the Women in Defense Greater Boston Chapter. She is a certified innovator and program management certified.

01What do you attribute your success to?

I attribute my success to the support of my mother, my strong work ethic, and just figuring things out as they come. My mother has been key in helping raise my kids.

Network and continue to develop your skills. It's never too early to network.

I would encourage them to network and not be shy about it.
