About Lisa
I've been in med tech for 44 years. I went into it because I wanted to help people. I had a brother that passed away at a young age from muscular dystrophy, and so I guess it drew me to the medical field. I was just a basic lab tech for a while, I was a manager for 32 years, and now I'm in point of care because I got tired of the politics. I visit clinics to help them, I do training on equipment, I make sure they're doing their lab testing correctly, I help them make sure that they have their certificates with the government.

01What do you attribute your success to?
Hard work. Putting in my dues, working nights, working holidays. It takes a lot of work to get where you are.
02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
Don't take everything personally. Because it'll just eat you up inside. But it's hard.
