Her Story

About Lisa

From an unexpected twist of fate to becoming a transformative HR leader, her journey began not with a childhood dream, but with a profound moment of maternal realization over a plate of spaghetti. As a successful retail manager handling employee relations and training, she found herself caught in the familiar struggle of balancing career demands with family life. The turning point came when she discovered her son's unique culinary preference - mayonnaise on spaghetti - a simple yet powerful reminder of the moments she was missing as a mother.

This pivotal realization led her to a conversation with her District Director, opening an unexpected door into Human Resources. What started as a temporary solution to spend more evenings with her children blossomed into a passionate career. She didn't just adapt to her new role; she thrived, advancing to become a Regional HR Generalist and pursuing her BS in HR, followed by achieving her SHRM-CP certification.

In the dynamic world of Human Resources, she has established herself as a versatile professional, mastering crucial areas including Talent Acquisition, Total Rewards, Learning and Development, Performance Management, Employment Law, and Employee Experiences. Her strategic approach and innovative mindset have yielded impressive results:

• Demonstrated exceptional financial acumen through multi-year labor planning with ±3% budget accuracy
• Maintained superior compliance standards with audit scores exceeding 90%
• Pioneered AI implementation in operations, generating an impressive ROI of $1,135 per employee
• Earned recognition through the Business Impact Award (2020) and Award for Innovation (2021)
• Advanced diversity initiatives through leadership in Women's Affinity Group and DE&I Committee support

Her philosophy centers on three core principles: engaging teams, fostering continuous learning, and cultivating a thriving organizational culture. She believes in the artistry of HR - the delicate balance of bringing together various elements to create an environment where both people and businesses flourish.

Always eager to connect and share experiences, she welcomes conversations with fellow professionals who share her passion for human resources and organizational development.
