About Lisa

Lisa Mahoney is an accomplished sales and business development executive with more than 30 years of experience in the auto finance industry, including nearly 15 years with Fifth Third Bank. She currently serves as an Associate Vice President overseeing a sales team, where she combines strategic vision with disciplined execution to drive business growth and deliver results. Her leadership approach centers on establishing clear goals, fostering accountability, encouraging innovation, and creating opportunities for both personal and professional development. With extensive expertise in sales, relationship management, and team leadership, Mahoney is recognized for building strong partnerships and cultivating high-performing teams.

Beyond her corporate leadership, Mahoney is deeply committed to coaching, mentoring, and professional development. She is an active member of the International Coaching Federation (ICF), works with the Chamber of Commerce, and serves as a mediator. She is pursuing her Associate Certified Coach (ACC) credential and is in the process of launching Clarity and Growth Hub, a business dedicated to coaching, mentoring, and helping individuals gain clarity and achieve meaningful professional growth. Her passion for developing people reflects her belief that effective leadership is not only about achieving business objectives but also about empowering others to recognize and reach their potential.

Mahoney is also a strong advocate for women in sales and leadership, using her own experiences to encourage the next generation of female professionals to be confident, take up space, and recognize their value and capabilities. Her commitment to service extends into her community, where she has volunteered with The Gate House women’s shelter for approximately 12 years. Through serving meals, teaching financial literacy classes, organizing apartments, and providing clothing donations, she has supported women as they work toward rebuilding their lives. Outside of her professional and community commitments, Mahoney is a dedicated runner, bringing the same resilience, discipline, and determination to her personal pursuits that define her approach to leadership.

Her Interview

Ten minutes with Lisa

01What do you attribute your success to?

I attribute my success to more than 30 years of experience in sales and leadership, combined with a strong commitment to vision, execution, and empowering others. As an AVP leading a sales team, I have learned the importance of setting a clear direction, executing with purpose, and creating an environment where people can grow and succeed. I am also passionate about advocating for women in the workplace and helping them recognize and reach their full potential.

02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?

The best career advice I have received is to lead with purpose, remain open to growth, and use my experience to make a meaningful difference in the lives of others. My community work, including volunteering at The Gate House women’s shelter, has reinforced the importance of service and connection, while building my business, Clarity and Growth Hub, has allowed me to help others gain clarity and achieve their goals. My ICF coaching certification and professional affiliations continue to strengthen my commitment to lifelong learning, personal development, and purposeful leadership.

03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

My advice to young women entering the industry is to take up space and recognize your value. You are just as capable, knowledgeable, and deserving of opportunities as your counterparts. Believe in your abilities, speak with confidence, and never be afraid to advocate for yourself and pursue the opportunities you have earned.

04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?

One of the greatest challenges and opportunities in my field is building long lasting relationships. While developing meaningful connections takes time, trust, and consistency, it is also one of the most rewarding aspects of my work. I value the opportunity to build relationships that create lasting impact, foster collaboration, and contribute to long term professional success.

05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

Authenticity, trust, and respect are the values that are most important to me in both my professional and personal life. I believe in being genuine, building relationships based on trust, and treating others with respect. Throughout my career, I have also faced challenges such as gender bias in client meetings, which has strengthened my commitment to showing up authentically, advocating for myself and others, and creating an environment where everyone is valued and heard.
