Lisa McKee

I've been in my field for about 6 years, working in chemical manufacturing as both plant manager and production manager. I oversee production, inventory control, and shipping and receiving at my current facility. Before this, I worked for AT&T for almost 6 years as a retail sales consultant in their retail stores. Prior to that, I managed low-income housing for a few years, overseeing 64 tenants per complex across two complexes, handling recertifications, inspections, and turnovers. I also drove truck for the school system delivering food for about a year and a half to two years. When I came out of college, I was a drafter and worked in that field for almost 10 years before I got laid off 3 days before I had my fourth child. In between, I worked for PureLink Communications as an office manager for about a year and a half, where we designed fiber from cell towers out to distribution and I learned to write SOPs. That skill in writing standard operating procedures is what landed me my current job - I was initially hired just to do quality work instructions, but after 3 weeks they asked me to be production manager. I've taught myself everything as I went, picking up responsibilities whenever someone left. I'm determined and I keep pushing - you're not gonna tell me I can't do something. Outside of my day job, I run a bar and restaurant with my husband.
