About Lisa
Lisa Stinson is an accomplished dental industry leader with more than 20 years of experience spanning operational, financial, administrative, and clinical practice leadership. She currently serves as Practice Leader at Select Dental Management LLC in Concord, New Hampshire, where she draws on her extensive experience in dental practice operations to guide teams, strengthen performance, and support a high standard of patient care. Her career reflects a steady progression through roles including Dental Assistant, Financial Coordinator, Dental Office Manager, Assistant Practice Leader, and Practice Leader.
Throughout her career, Lisa has demonstrated expertise in practice management, team leadership, financial administration, patient satisfaction, and operational excellence. In her leadership role, she oversees a large dental team while fostering professional relationships and applying industry best practices to improve practice performance. She credits strong role models, supportive peers, and the doctors and dental professionals she has worked alongside as important influences on her success. Her educational background includes a Certified Dental Assistant credential from NHTI, Concord's Community College, complemented by further education at the University of New Hampshire.
Beyond her professional responsibilities, Lisa is committed to community involvement, professional service, and developing others. She has served as president of an alumni association and volunteers with the Junior League of Concord, reflecting her dedication to leadership beyond the workplace. 01What do you attribute your success to?
I attribute my success to the guidance of wonderful role models, the support of exceptional peers, and the opportunity to work alongside an outstanding group of doctors. Their example and collaboration have continually inspired me to grow and excel.
02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
The best career advice I’ve received is to treat others the way I want to be treated, maintain a growth mindset, and always look ahead. I believe in continuously learning, evolving, and never becoming stagnant in my career.
03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
My advice to young women entering the dental field is to listen closely to your patients, understand their needs, and educate them as effectively as possible. Maintain a growth mindset, stay flexible, and be willing to adapt because no two days are the same. Whether working clinically or in administration, trust your judgment and remain committed to delivering the highest level of care.
04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
The dental field is increasingly moving toward a corporate model, creating valuable opportunities for dentists to have greater support in business, finance, and administration. This allows dental professionals to focus more fully on patient care and clinical excellence while relying on specialized teams to manage the complex business aspects of running a practice.
05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
The values most important to me are communication, integrity, authenticity, growth, and compassion. I believe in communicating openly, acting with integrity, staying true to who I am, continuously learning and growing, and treating others with genuine compassion.
