Her Story
About Lisa Ana
Lisa Ana Okoye is a Procurement Analyst II at FIS, where she has spent the past three years applying her expertise in supply chain and global procurement. Her career path began with twelve years of service in the U.S. Navy, which she joined in 2006 and where she worked in logistics roles aboard ship, deploying to the Middle East, Europe, and Asia before her medical discharge in 2018. Following her military service, she launched and ran Hair Chemistry, LLC for three years, then spent another three years as a government contractor, where she worked as an inventory analyst auditing supply chain systems at military installations across the country and driving process improvements.
Okoye's commitment to lifelong learning has been a constant throughout her journey. She began taking college courses while still deployed overseas, eventually earning her Bachelor of Business Administration in Logistics, Materials, and Supply Chain Management from Saint Leo University. She has since gone on to complete her Project Management Professional (PMP) certification and is now working toward a Lean Six Sigma credential to further sharpen her professional toolkit. In recognition of her career achievements, she has been named one of the Influential Women for 2026.
Beyond her professional accomplishments, Okoye credits much of her success to the steady support of her family, who helped raise her daughter during her years of military service. She holds integrity as her guiding principle, both at work — where she manages sensitive accounts and financial information — and in her personal life. Outside the office, she dedicates her time to coaching competitive cheerleading and volunteering with organizations such as the Clara White Mission and Edgewood Nursing Home, while continuing to encourage other women in her field to pursue leadership without limitation.
Her Interview
Ten minutes with Lisa Ana
01What do you attribute your success to?
I attribute my success to the unwavering support of my family. While I was serving in the military, my parents and my daughter's paternal grandparents stepped in to help raise her, which gave me the freedom to focus on building my education and career. That support system is the foundation of everything I've been able to accomplish.
02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
The best career advice I've ever received came from my supply chain manager at FIS, who told me not to get stuck. She encouraged me to stay confident in my abilities, avoid complacency, and pursue every opportunity available to me rather than settling for less than I deserve. That advice has stayed with me and given me the confidence to keep advancing.
03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
My advice to young women entering this industry is to keep pushing forward and never let gender define your limits. I look at my own company's female CEO as proof of what's possible, and it reminds me that women can lead and succeed at the highest levels. My message is simple: don't underestimate what you're capable of achieving.
04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
One of the biggest challenges I face is establishing credibility as a woman in the logistics and supply chain industry. Earning people's trust and getting them to have confidence in my expertise isn't always easy, but I continue to prove myself through my knowledge, consistency, and results.
05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
Integrity is the value I hold above all others, both professionally and personally. Working at an investment company where I manage accounts and financial information, I believe strongly in doing the right thing whether or not anyone is watching. That principle guides how I show up in every part of my life.
