About Lisette
Lisette Missler is a Realtor and Broker with experience in residential real estate dating back to 2005. She grew up in Central Florida where she worked in sales, including as a buyer for Universal Studios at Wet n' Wild. After relocating to the Lake Norman area in North Carolina, she started helping a friend as an assistant in real estate and obtained her license in 2008. Missler attributes her success to relationships, doing what she says she will do, and being authentic while looking out for clients. She advises new professionals in the industry to work with a mentor, get to know clients before committing, and not hesitate to end relationships that are not mutual.

01What do you attribute your success to?
Relationships. It's all about relationships, and doing what you say you're gonna do when you say you're gonna do it. Looking out for someone else that might not be as knowledgeable. Being authentic.
02What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
Go in and work with someone if I could, if I was new. Like I did, because that really helped me get my feet wet. Surround yourself with a mentor, but not necessarily having to pay for someone to kind of show you the ropes. If you are hungry enough, you can work with someone that will help you if you help them. Get to know them first. Don't always get a buyer agency agreement with someone. It's okay to fire clients.
