About lissette
Lissette Sanchez is a Realtor in Orlando, Florida, with 11 years of experience in the real estate industry. Inspired by her background in customer service, she navigates a typical day filled with chaos, deadlines, and client hand-holding. Her notable achievements include consistent ranking among the top 500 and top 300 realtors out of 20,000 in Orlando, as well as receiving the Sentinel bronze award. Sanchez values trust and discipline in her work, noting that clients seek her out because they trust her. She advises against quick reactions and encourages taking time to listen, while recommending that young professionals ask for help rather than trying to do everything alone. Challenges in the field include clients who do not read documents thoroughly or follow rules, and the need for strong teamwork to reach closing. Opportunities lie in continuous learning through partnerships. She has earned numerous certificates but credits hands-on experience for her success and maintains a clear separation between her professional and private personal life.

Ten minutes with lissette
01What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
Don't be quick to react. Whether it's a good thing, a bad thing, or whatever, it takes some time. Take some time to listen. Don't be quick to react. Like, not everything needs to be responded to immediately. I think that that's taken me a long, long way.
02What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
Do ask for help. Don't sit there and try to figure it out, or try to do too many things at once. Don't try to do it all, because you're gonna fail.
03What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
Challenges that nobody reads. Everybody wants snap fingers and let me get this, let me get that, and in reality, it doesn't work like that. Nobody reads. Challenges is also working as a team. There's a lot of pieces that, in order to get to the closing table, there's a lot of pieces that have to take place. Some people don't follow rules and regulations. They almost want you to do everything for them, and not working as a team is never going to get you there. Opportunities, obviously, there's always opportunity to learn, so sometimes I might be doing things the hard way, and then obviously when partnering up, or when working with other people, just learning from them.
04What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
Value is trust. People come to me because they trust me. Besides trust, obviously, discipline. My personal life is very private, so I'm not gonna talk about that. I don't combine both.
