In her current role for a little over a year, she focuses on channel sales and business relationship management, supporting trusted advisors and partners with UCaaS and CCaaS solutions. She later worked in the accounting department at a local CBS affiliate TV station before transitioning to the ad sales department, from which she was recruited into channel sales. Without formal college education, Liz learned her skills through hands-on experience and on-the-job training. She is a member of a specialized women in the channel group and attributes her success entirely to her own hard work and dedication as a self-made professional. Liz emphasizes the importance of being extremely responsive and available to partners, maintaining honesty by saying what she does and doing what she says, and upholding a strong reputation. She advises young women entering the industry not to be intimidated by technology or its male-dominated nature, noting the growing presence of women and encouraging them to keep pushing forward. Among the biggest challenges she sees is keeping pace with rapid technological changes, particularly in AI.
Her Interview
Ten minutes with Liz
01What do you attribute your success to?
My own hard work and dedication. I am self-made and self-driven; nobody helped beyond getting the job, everything else I had to do myself.
02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
Always be extremely responsive and available. Be the person that partners, trusted advisors, and your group can count on, because that is huge in this industry.
03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
Don't be intimidated by the technology or by the fact that this is a very male-dominated field. Women are just as smart and have as much to give and as much influence. The number of women in the industry has grown tremendously even in the last 5 years, so hold on to that and keep pushing.
04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
Keeping up with rapid growth and technology changing at a rapid pace, especially with AI. It changes on the daily, practically, so it can be tough to stay on top of everything.
05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
Honesty - say what you do and do what you say. Being very supportive, doing the best that you absolutely can every single day, and being a woman of your word. Your reputation is everything.
