Her Interview

Ten minutes with Liz

01What do you attribute your success to?

I attribute my success to my mom. She owned her own business when I was young, and I watched her work so hard. She put people first, stayed extra for no pay, came in early because someone needed it, and was happy and smiled while doing it. I now do the same thing.

02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?

Continue learning and keep learning. Over-communicate. Be genuine. Those are my pillars. If you communicate what your thoughts were, there's no wrong because they would let you know if they don't like it.

03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

Have integrity. Continue learning. Give 100%. If you can't, just communicate why. Always tell someone the status, hey this is done or this is not done and this is why.

04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?

I love a challenge. As manager of office administration, I coach administrative professionals or manage executives on handling things and set expectations. Everyone has a strength, so if working styles don't match, we switch. I'm a fixer, so I don't take it as negative but as something to work on.

05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

Treat everything as if it were me. Put the most care into everything I do and provide all the information. Be trusted to do my job. Values are to be thorough with care and integrity. Integrity is my hugest thing.
