Her Story

About Liz

Liz Lanza is a luxury real estate professional, entrepreneur, and community builder helping clients navigate San Francisco’s most sought-after neighborhoods with confidence and strategy. With a strong background in marketing and storytelling, she understands how to position a property beyond its features and communicate the lifestyle, character, and value of a home.

As a San Francisco native, Liz brings deep local knowledge and context to the neighborhoods she serves. She pairs that perspective with a highly analytical, data-driven approach, helping clients evaluate market conditions, long-term value, investment potential, and their broader goals. By combining creativity with strategy, she gives clients the insight they need to make one of life’s biggest decisions with clarity and confidence.

Beyond real estate, Liz is the founder of Her Society, a community connecting female founders through elevated events and meaningful conversations. She is also developing BeeKind, a social-impact initiative focused on turning everyday kindness into action.

Her Interview

Ten minutes with Liz

01What do you attribute your success to?

My faith, my family, and the example set by the people around me. I was raised by parents who set the bar high and taught me the importance of hard work, accountability, and never settling for less than my full potential.

02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?

Your circle matters! There are 3 types of people in your journey: mentors who represent where you want to go, peers who hold you accountable and help you move forward, and people who keep you stuck. Learn from the first, grow with the second, and set firm boundaries with the third. Be relentless about protecting your time and energy.

03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

Get in proximity to the work you want to be doing. Identify the person, company, or organization leading your field, and find a way into the room volunteer, attend events, offer support, or ask to shadow someone. Proximity matters because observing how successful people think, communicate, and make decisions can teach you faster than theory alone. Build genuine relationships, make yourself useful, and stay close enough to learn by osmosis.

04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?

Biggest challenge in real estate is standing out in a highly competitive industry and earning trust in a business built on relationships and results. As a woman, there can still be moments when you have to establish your credibility quickly, but I view that as motivation to be exceptionally prepared, knowledgeable, and consistent.

The opportunity is that real estate gives you tremendous ownership over your career. It is commission-based, so there is uncertainty, but there is also no fixed ceiling. You have the ability to build your own brand, create meaningful relationships, and shape a business around your strengths, values, and ambition.

05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

Kindness, integrity, and treating others the way I would want to be treated. I was raised in a Christian household, and my faith continues to serve as a quiet guiding force in how I make decisions, handle challenges, and show up for the people around me. In both my work and personal life, I try to lead with empathy and stay grounded in my values.
