Elizabeth (Liz) Quintilliani BS, MSN, ACNP

Elizabeth (Liz) Quintilliani, BS, MSN, ACNP, is an accomplished advanced practice nurse and Advanced Surgical Consultant and U.S. Field Clinical Trainer – Surgery at Abiomed, part of Johnson & Johnson MedTech. With a strong background in cardiovascular critical care and a passion for high-impact medical technology, Liz supports surgical teams nationwide in deploying life-saving mechanical circulatory support (MCS) devices such as the Impella. Her clinical roots run deep, with years spent in Tampa General Hospital's CTICU and NSICU, along with a Master’s degree from the University of South Florida and a Bachelor’s in Nursing from Duquesne University.
Liz’s dedication to healthcare is not only professional but personal—she comes from a family rooted in the medical field and has made it her mission to improve patient outcomes through hands-on education, surgical support, and evidence-based innovation. Beyond her role in the OR, she is passionate about mentoring and helping shape the next generation of medical professionals, especially women entering the field of advanced practice and medical technology.
A proud mom of three, Liz enjoys an active lifestyle filled with sports and music. She played and coached lacrosse at the collegiate level and now shares her love of athletics with her children, often attending games or playing together. Whether it’s singing karaoke, watching sports, or listening to music, she finds joy in everyday moments with her family. Her blend of clinical excellence, athletic leadership, and vibrant family life makes her a standout voice in both healthcare and her community.

My advice to young women entering the industry: seek discomfort—it’s where the real growth and confidence begin.
What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
One of the biggest challenges in my field right now is navigating a paradigm shift—promoting life-saving technology that’s backed by data, facts, and outcomes, yet still not widely recognized or understood.
What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
The values that matter most to me in both work and life are honesty and leading with an open heart—always caring deeply for others and the impact I have on them.
