Her Interview
Ten minutes with Liz
01What do you attribute your success to?
I attribute my success largely to experience. Every position I have held has taught me something valuable and helped shape the professional I am today. I have learned that confidence does not necessarily mean knowing everything; it means being willing to learn, grow, and move forward. I am also naturally passionate about helping others. I genuinely enjoy seeing people grow and developing their potential, and I find fulfillment in helping others succeed.
02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
The best career advice I have received is to step into opportunities, learn as I go, and trust that I belong in the room. I believe it is important to be willing to speak up, take initiative, and continue moving forward even when I do not have every answer.
03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
I would encourage young women to never be afraid to take up space. Believe in yourself, speak up about what you bring to the table, and do not be afraid to pursue new opportunities. Changing direction or returning to school is not failure; it is growth. Most importantly, do not lose yourself in the process of trying to prove yourself to others.
04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
One of the current challenges in my field is getting face-to-face time with healthcare providers. Building direct relationships and having meaningful conversations with providers is important to developing strong partnerships and effectively communicating how pharmacy services can support patients and healthcare teams.
05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
Integrity is extremely important to me—doing the right thing even when no one is watching and being someone others can trust. Advocacy is also important because I believe in using my voice to help people. Compassion guides how I interact with others, and authenticity means remaining true to myself rather than changing who I am simply to fit into a particular environment.
