Her Story

About Liza

I believe true success is measured by the lives we impact along the way. While I’ve built a career in wealth management and have the privilege of guiding families through some of their most important financial decisions, the part of my life I’m most proud of is what exists beyond my professional role—one rooted in family, service, adventure, and meaningful human connection.

I’ve always been drawn to building relationships and creating spaces where people feel seen, valued, and supported. That belief shapes how I show up in my community. I’m deeply involved with organizations focused on homelessness, financial education, and family empowerment, and I’m honored to serve on the board of the Central Florida Coalition for the Homeless. This work reminds me daily of the power of coming together with shared purpose to create lasting change.

Outside of work and community involvement, I find joy in traveling, spending time outdoors, and being in Puerto Rico whenever I can. My happiest moments are often the simplest—making memories with my children, grandchildren, fiancé, and our dogs, hosting family gatherings, or heading out on a cross‑country adventure in an Airstream. Mentoring others and supporting people through life transitions, both personally and professionally, is something I value deeply.

At my core, I don’t think leadership is about titles or recognition. To me, it’s about consistency, integrity, compassion, and doing your best to leave people and places better than you found them. That principle guides both my life and my work, and it’s one I strive to live by every day.

Ten minutes with Liza

01What do you attribute your success to?

I attribute my success to a long‑term mindset and a deep respect for relationships. Over the years, I’ve learned that consistency, listening, and showing up with integrity matter more than any single achievement. Growth has come from experience—both successes and challenges—and from staying grounded in the belief that trust is built over time, not rushed.

I’ve also been shaped by the people and community I’ve had the privilege to serve. Learning from clients, colleagues, and mentors has continually refined how I lead and how I define success. Looking back, the moments that matter most are those where I was able to support someone through an important transition with care and clarity.

02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?

The best career advice I’ve ever received is that success isn’t about who you know—it’s about who knows you. Looking ahead, that advice continues to guide how I show up every day. It reminds me that the most meaningful opportunities come from building a reputation rooted in trust, consistency, and genuine connection.

As careers evolve and industries change, I believe it becomes even more important to be known for how you lead, how you serve, and how you follow through. When people know you for your values and your reliability, doors open in ways that feel organic and lasting. That perspective keeps me focused on long‑term impact rather than short‑term wins.

03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

My advice to young women entering this industry is to focus on learning the business, building confidence, and staying true to your values—at the same time. You don’t have to know everything on day one, but you do need to be curious, ask questions, and be willing to speak up. Growth comes from showing up consistently and being open to learning, not from being perfect.

Confidence is built over time, and it comes from doing the right thing even when it’s hard. There may be moments when you’re asked to do something that doesn’t align with regulations or firm policies. In those situations, leadership isn’t about saying yes or no—it’s about finding the right way forward. Look for solutions that help clients and colleagues reach their goals while staying within the rules. That balance is what builds credibility and trust.

Most importantly, stay humble and relationship‑focused. Treat every interaction as an opportunity to learn, contribute, and support someone else’s success. When people know they can rely on you—for your integrity, your effort, and your follow‑through—you naturally build confidence, influence, and a career that lasts.

04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?

One of the biggest challenges in wealth management right now is navigating complexity—markets, regulation, technology, and client expectations are all evolving at the same time. Clients are facing more uncertainty and information overload than ever, which means our responsibility as advisors has shifted from simply providing solutions to helping people make sense of change with clarity and confidence.

At the same time, that challenge presents a tremendous opportunity. There’s never been a greater need for trusted, relationship‑based advice. Technology can enhance efficiency and access, but it can’t replace judgment, empathy, or the ability to guide someone through a major life transition. Advisors who focus on listening, education, and long‑term partnership are well positioned to make a meaningful impact.

Another important opportunity is leadership—particularly for women in this field. As the industry continues to evolve, there’s space for diverse perspectives, collaborative leadership styles, and values‑driven approaches. Those who lead with integrity, adaptability, and a client‑first mindset will help shape the future of the profession in a positive and lasting way.

05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

The values that matter most to me—both professionally and personally—are integrity, authenticity, compassion, resilience, and connection. I believe success means very little if it isn’t built on trust, strong character, and the ability to positively impact the lives of others.

In my professional life, I value relationships above transactions. I believe in showing up consistently, leading with transparency, and treating every client, colleague, and community partner with respect and genuine care. My approach has always been centered on building trust and creating meaningful, lasting relationships rather than focusing on short‑term results.

Personally, family, loyalty, gratitude, and service are at the core of who I am. I value creating experiences and memories with the people I love, giving back to my community, and living a life that reflects purpose and intention. Whether it’s mentoring others, volunteering, supporting charitable organizations, or simply being present for family and friends, I find the greatest fulfillment in helping others feel supported, valued, and inspired.

Above all, I strive to live in a way where my actions, values, and reputation are aligned—both professionally and personally.
