About Lizbeth
I started working in a school as a full-service lady like a lunch lady. Someone encouraged me to help with claims and other tasks, and since I'm always available to learn, I began learning about policy, recruitment, and food safety. An open position came up and I started as a manager, then jumped to director. I take a lot of classes and just finished my master's degree in education and communication. I also pursued my bachelor in business administration.

01What do you attribute your success to?
I think it's because when you have a passion for something, like, don't stop. You have to continue. Don't give up. All the rewards is gonna come back to you when you put in your all to have something.
02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
Be patient, and like, thinking about others. Don't be selfish.
03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
Be humble. We pay attention. And always try to do the best for the kids, for the students. No matter what, the students are first.
04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
The communication with the families and everything, and the communication with the students. Now it's all technology. People spend more time in the phones or computers than like socialize.
05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
Be humble. Team, like, the right thing to listen. Know your people. You have to know your thing. And sometimes you have if you know that your department run correctly, you need to know your people. Don't treat all at the same way, because people are at different personalities.
