Q

What do you attribute your success to?

My greatest success has always come through educating and mentoring others. Whether serving as a clinical educator in the hospital setting or in leadership roles where I intentionally develop emerging leaders, investing in people is what truly drives me. Teaching, in particular, has been deeply inspiring and is one of the primary reasons I am pursuing my Doctor of Nursing Practice while also serving as adjunct faculty. I genuinely love working with nursing students who are early in their journey—eager, curious, and just beginning to shape their professional identity. Being part of that formative stage is both an honor and a responsibility I do not take lightly.

Even in my current Account Executive role, I approach my work not as traditional sales, but as a consultant and strategic partner. I care deeply about helping healthcare leaders address workforce challenges, strengthen competency, and improve patient safety. What makes this work especially meaningful is that I represent solutions I have personally used throughout my career. I can speak authentically about their impact because I have experienced their value firsthand, which allows me to build trust and foster genuine partnerships rooted in shared clinical understanding.

Q

What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?

The best career advice I’ve ever received is that it’s possible to build a career you love while also living a purposeful, fulfilling life. Finding work that aligns with your passion allows you to make an impact and maintain balance, creating both professional success and personal satisfaction.

Q

What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

My advice to young women entering healthcare is to believe that you can build a career you truly love. Stay persistent, keep moving forward, and never give up every challenge is an opportunity to grow and make a meaningful impact in the lives of others.

Q

What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?

My greatest challenges and opportunities in nursing center on balancing diligent, high-level professional performance with a deep commitment to mentoring and developing others. I believe that leadership in nursing is not only about delivering excellence personally, but also about elevating those around you. I remain dedicated to advancing my own expertise and am proud to be pursuing my Doctor of Nursing Practice, a journey that has expanded my capacity for leadership, education, and systems-level impact. Through continued growth and scholarship, I am committed to contributing meaningfully to the development of the next generation of nurses and to strengthening the future of our profession.

Q

What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

In my professional work, what matters most to me is the opportunity to educate and mentor others. Whether partnering with healthcare leaders in my Account Executive role to identify solutions that strengthen workforce development and patient safety, or teaching and guiding nursing students as adjunct faculty, I am deeply committed to advancing competency, retention, and quality care. I believe that strong education directly impacts patient outcomes and the long-term sustainability of our profession.

In my personal life, I value caring for myself so that I can continue to care effectively for others. I prioritize functional training several times a week, incorporating strength training and cardiovascular exercise, even while completing my doctoral studies. Living in South Florida allows me to enjoy the outdoors year-round, and my husband and I embrace this season of life as empty nesters by exploring new hobbies together. We enjoy bike riding, pickleball, and firearms training at the range, always challenging ourselves to improve. I also remain actively engaged in my faith community through volunteer work focused on congregational safety and emergency preparedness at Calvary Church in Miami. A mission trip in 2024 was a transformative experience for me—one that reinforced my belief that service, leadership, and faith are deeply interconnected.
