Q

What do you attribute your success to?

I would say absolutely the way I was raised, a strong belief in God, and I definitely have a really good support system. But really, the number one thing I would say now is my daughter, for sure. I have a really deep desire to make sure that she knows that she can do anything. Whatever your dream could be, you can, you know? And I think it's funny, because they always say, you know, we were told growing up, like, you can be anything you want to be. And there's moments where you get discouraged, but you really can. You can do anything you want if you think you can. There are moments where you get discouraged, but you can work through that, you know?

Q

What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

I would say go for it. Believe in yourself. Don't hesitate, and really trust in the network. Build the network. And you don't have to be the most social person. I know sometimes that can be scary, but people love to help others, especially when they see you're passionate about something. You never know who's gonna want to partner with you. You never know who just may give you an idea that you hadn't thought of. And I also think that when it's something you're passionate about, when it's something that you're doing because there's a bigger impact outside of it, just outside of money, yes, we love a profit, but it's how you know you're in the right place.

Q

What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

The most important values to me are my upbringing, my strong belief in God, and my support system. But really, the number one thing now is my daughter. I have a really deep desire to make sure that she knows that she can do anything. Whatever your dream could be, you can achieve it. I want to show her that through my own example. I've been building my business along the way and involving her in it, so she can watch me work and see what goes into making dreams come true. She's been watching me package materials, test experiments, and now at age 10, she can even facilitate and help the kids at events, so it's like having a partner. I want her to see that you really can do anything you want if you think you can, even when you get discouraged.
