Her Story

About Loretta

Loretta is a New York City-based entrepreneur, content creator, and fashion visionary who launched her clothing brand, Crushin It Clothing, LLC, during the COVID-19 pandemic after a long career in corporate America. As a self-taught designer, she collaborates directly with manufacturers to bring her creative ideas to life, proving that passion and persistence can overcome formal training or traditional pathways into fashion. What began as a personal leap into entrepreneurship quickly evolved into a growing brand rooted in empowerment, individuality, and resilience. Through her bold personal style and authentic presence on social media, Loretta expanded her reach far beyond fashion design. She became a brand ambassador for companies across the United Kingdom, Australia, and England, while also building a following as a content creator known for uplifting messages expressed through music, dance, and inspirational storytelling. Her work blends creativity and connection, allowing her to engage audiences in a way that reflects both her personality and her life journey. Beyond her professional success, Loretta is deeply committed to community impact and mentorship. A survivor of domestic violence and homelessness, she uses her story to inspire others to pursue their dreams regardless of circumstance, especially women navigating hardship or transition. In addition to being featured on magazine covers and working as an AI model with Wear AI, she dedicates time to visiting seniors, feeding those in need, and mentoring young women—embodying her belief that it is never too late to rebuild, rise, and thrive.

Her Interview

Ten minutes with Loretta

01What do you attribute your success to?

I attribute my success to taking risks and actually implementing my dreams instead of just talking about them. For years, I used to say 'I'm gonna, I'm gonna, I'm gonna,' and I never did. My biggest achievement is stepping out in faith, taking chances, and believing in myself when no one else did. I'm self-taught - when I tried to ask people who knew how to do things, no one helped me, so I did it by myself. I cried many nights behind closed doors, but I kept going and never gave up. I had to discipline myself, keep my blinders on, and stay focused on my career goals. I learned to be selfish in a good way - focusing on myself first, because you can't help people until you help yourself first. I threw myself out there into the unknown, and that's when I discovered the blessings God had for me.

02What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

Never give up - you're always gonna have naysayers trying to bring you down, but just keep going and keep your blinders on. Stay focused and be selfish, but not in a bad way. Focus on yourself and your career goals first, because you can't help people until you help yourself. Discipline yourself and chase your dreams. It's gonna get hard, and this is how you know your dream is really starting to manifest - when it becomes harder, you're almost there. Just keep believing in yourself. I went through so much and cried many nights behind closed doors, but I kept going and I'm proud that I accomplished it. You don't have to show your body to get ahead - just be authentic and be yourself. It's sexy but classy, not sexy and trashy. You don't have to sell your soul to get where you need to be. And remember, it's never too late - you're the CEO of your life, and how you run it is how it's gonna go.
