About Loretta
Loretta Williams is a professional with 14 and a half years of experience in government disaster relief, currently working with the Small Business Administration to deliver programs that provide financial assistance to disaster survivors. She helps applicants navigate the process, including those whose claims were previously denied, and counsels individuals on building resilience for future events. Williams transitioned to this role following a significant life change, drawing on her prior experience as Assistant Director of Financial Aid at a local university and as Veterans Affairs financial representative at a community college. She holds a college degree and has started but not yet completed a master's program. Outside her professional work, Williams participates in church organizations and volunteers by assisting elderly community members with appointments and errands. She attributes her success to her heart for helping others and being a builder who speaks kind words and encourages people.

01What do you attribute your success to?
I would say just my heart, the heart of other people. Honestly and transparently, be there to help people, to speak a kind word. Just being a builder.
02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
Stay with it. Whatever it is in life that you have chosen, stay with it and be persevering in it. Have no regrets about it, because this is a decision that you are making.
