About Lori

I've been working in administrative roles for over 30 years, starting as a secretary when I got out of school and climbing the ladder through receptionist, administrative assistant levels one and two, all the way up to executive assistant and now office manager. For the past 6 years, I've been the office manager for a private equity firm in Nashville, Tennessee, which I describe as a fabulous job. My work involves a heavy travel schedule, booking and calendaring, executive assistant duties, scheduling meetings and board meetings, and coordinating both national and international travel. I handle lots of dinners, high-level meetings, and off-site board meetings. Beyond my professional career, I volunteer as the lead coordinator for Walk for Lives United Against Fentanyl in Springfield, Tennessee. After losing my son Ethan about 3 years ago, I became passionate about fentanyl awareness. I coordinate the annual walk at Martin Luther King Jr. Park, which is part of a nationwide event. I've created websites, produced literature, done multiple podcasts, and been interviewed by Texas Pictures, with that video reaching over 37,000 views. My son's picture will be on a billboard in Times Square in August, and I've traveled to D.C. for the past two years to attend rallies and marches. The organizational and leadership skills I've developed over three decades in administrative work have been instrumental in helping me coordinate the walk, work with speakers, manage a team of about 9 volunteers, coordinate with CBS News, the DEA, and handle all the logistics from permits to insurance to the 900 green lanyards requested this year to honor loved ones lost to fentanyl.
