What do you attribute your success to?
I attribute much of my success to the strong mentorship I received early in my career. I was fortunate to learn from some industry greats - Jonathan Sumners and Cherie Taylor - who not only taught me the technical side of the industry but also how to build meaningful client relationships and approach challenges with a solutions mindset. That foundation has stayed with me, and I’ve made it a priority to carry those lessons forward in how I serve my clients and support others in the industry.
What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
Stick with it. This industry takes time, and success doesn’t happen overnight. There will be seasons where you feel like you’re starting over or questioning yourself, especially in a role where so much responsibility falls on your shoulders.
But growth in this field is often a slow build. As relationships strengthen, referrals come in, and your work begins to compound, things start to click. During the tougher moments, it’s important to remember that you’re often your own toughest critic. The people around you believe in you... but you have to believe in yourself too.
What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
One of the biggest challenges in commercial printing is the perception that print is declining, when in reality, it’s evolving. The industry has faced its share of instability, and I’ve experienced that firsthand throughout my career. Those transitions can be difficult, especially when you’re rebuilding momentum in a new environment.
At the same time, that evolution presents a significant opportunity. Print is no longer just a functional medium; it has the potential to be highly creative, tactile, and impactful when approached thoughtfully. I see a lot of opportunity in helping modernize how print is positioned, from incorporating fresh marketing ideas to elevating pieces that are often overlooked.
What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
The values that guide me most are integrity, collaboration, and resilience. I try to approach both my work and personal life with honesty and consistency, and I place a high value on relationships built on trust. Some of the best work I've been part of has come from true partnership with clients and teams, where everyone is invested in the outcome. Resilience has also played a big role in my journey, especially in an industry that is constantly evolving. I've learned to [try your best to] stay steady through change, trust the process, and keep showing up with intention and care.
