About Lori
Lori Rowland is a licensed therapist and fitness professional with 30 years in counseling and over 20 years in fitness. Based in Brick, NJ, she owns her private practice, teaches fitness classes, and serves as a course author for AAAI and ISMA. Rowland holds a master's degree and is dual licensed as a professional counselor and clinical alcohol/drug counselor. She is EMDR trained, a narcissistic abuse training certified counselor, a somatic yoga instructor and trainer, and an NBCC National Board-Certified Counselor. Her career began after graduating college and working briefly at Morgan Stanley International in New York City before pursuing counseling. She previously worked in public education as a student assistance counselor and received the Tigger Stavola Foundation award in March as the first student assistance counselor honored, along with Teacher of the Year for 2014-2015. Rowland is a member of ASAP NJ, AAAI, ISMA, AFAA, and NBCC. She volunteers as a kitten yoga instructor for All For One Animal Rescue and serves on the boards of the Tigger Stavola Foundation and FitFixNow. Her expertise centers on narcissistic abuse recovery and addiction, informed by her personal and professional journey emphasizing mind-body integration.
