She completed some college without graduating and developed her skills through self-taught methods and online training for Microsoft Office programs at staffing agencies. Lori is a member of Bronco Baddies of DFW, a car and social club where she participates in community service. She attributes her success to her mother, who worked as an executive assistant, and to her husband for his supportive nature. Lori values respect highly and advises others to pair any criticism with a compliment while encouraging young women to pursue careers that AI cannot replace.

Her Interview

Ten minutes with Lori

01What do you attribute your success to?

I contribute my success to my mom. I followed in her footsteps. She was also an executive assistant for a large corporation. I would tribute my success to my mom, as well as my husband. He really allows me to be who I am without trying to change who I am.

02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?

The best career advice I've ever received was never have a criticism without a compliment. That taught me a lot. Always remind someone of something they're doing well.

03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

My advice for other young women would be to not shy away from an actual career. I know social media looks easy, and being an influencer sounds like a dream. But really hone in and focus on something that AI can't take over, and that will leave a meaningful impact in the world.

04What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

Respect is very important. My biggest pet peeve of all time across all platforms is tardiness. I think you're saying that another person's time doesn't matter. So, that's my biggest pet peeve. Yeah, that's my core value.
