Lori Stalcar
Lori Stalcar is an accomplished executive leader with over 18 years of experience advancing trauma-informed, equity-centered systems across mental health and human services. Currently serving as Interim CEO and Executive Director for the Southern Colorado Harm Reduction Association, she has a proven track record of leading complex programs, guiding organizations through growth and transition, and fostering strong, values-aligned cultures where staff feel supported and empowered. Lori’s leadership approach is rooted in integrity, collaboration, and transparency, reflecting her belief that effective leadership creates conditions for both people and systems to thrive.
Lori holds a Master of Science in Community Counseling from the University of Phoenix and is a licensed professional counselor in the state of Colorado. She is also certified in Addiction Counseling, Mental Health First Aid, Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt, and has completed leadership and project management programs through the State of Colorado. Her professional focus includes coaching and developing leaders, promoting psychological safety, and aligning strategy, operations, and mission to achieve sustainable outcomes. Notably, she played a key role in establishing The Diversified Minds Mental Health Institute, providing valuable training opportunities for interns and contributing to the advancement of mental health education.
Beyond her professional accomplishments, Lori is deeply committed to her community and family. She volunteers with local nonprofits, including the Pueblo Soup Kitchen and Safe Side Mission, and enjoys spending time with her grandchildren. An award-winning photographer and creative at heart, she loves arts and crafts and transforming everyday materials into meaningful works of art. Her personal and professional experiences combine to inform a leadership style that is compassionate, mission-driven, and impact-focused.

I attribute my success to my children. They inspire me to work hard and strive for excellence because I want to create a better world for them and for future generations.
What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
My advice to young women entering this industry is to follow your passion. The work can be challenging and time-consuming, and without genuine passion, it can quickly become overwhelming. Keep your passion alive, stay focused on it, and always remember the goals you are working toward.
