Loriann Malhotra is the Founder and Owner of LA Spa & Wellness Suites, a premier suite-based workspace for beauty wellness and medical professionals in the Trinity, Florida area. Founded in Trinity, the business has grown significantly under her leadership, expanding from 7 suites to 17 private, customizable suites in its eighth years of operation. Loriann creates and manages welcoming, professionally designed suite that allow independent practitioners to build their brands in an upscale, secure, and client-centered environment. A dedicated entrepreneur and mentor, Loriann is focused on leadership, mentorship, and empowering business owners to grow sustainable practices. She prioritizes personal connection, community building, and hands-on support over an impersonal, corporate approach, fostering a collaborative environment where professionals can learn, connect, and thrive. Through her guidance, renters receive business insight, encouragement, and a supportive network designed to promote long-term success. Loriann has been active in the beauty industry since 1996 and transitioned from hands-on services behind the chair to developing and expanding a suite-based business model that supports independent professionals. She holds multiple cosmetology and specialty certifications, including semi-permanent makeup (SMP) and advanced lash certifications, and describes her credentials as a “wall of certifications.” Her business knowledge is largely self-taught, built through decades of industry experience and entrepreneurship. Loriann is also a member of Working Women of Tampa Bay and remains committed to strengthening the local beauty and wellness community through mentorship, leadership, and service.

What do you attribute your success to?
I attribute my success to the unwavering support of my family, friends, and fellow business owners, as well as to the strong, collaborative community I’ve built for the professionals who call our suites home.
What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
Go for it. Take the chance. You only live once—make the most of it.
What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
If you feel called to it, take the plunge. Don’t let fear stop you. Build and lean into a supportive community, business ownership offers autonomy, growth, and the opportunity to create something truly your own.
What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
One of the biggest challenges and opportunities is the rapid growth of the suite model in our area. While increased competition requires differentiation, it also validates the strength of the model. The opportunity lies in expanding to additional locations and increasing visibility through strategic marketing and networking.
What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
Community, empowerment, especially of women and small business owners, being present, maintaining a personal touch, and prioritizing family are the values that guide both my work and personal life.
