Q

What do you attribute your success to?

I attribute my success to dedication, resilience, and personal growth. By prioritizing my physical and mental well-being, I’ve gained the confidence to take on new challenges and leadership opportunities.

In my role, I oversee social media, digital communications, and team leadership while maintaining a results-driven approach. I’m excited to grow further and hope to inspire others through my journey.

Q

What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?

The best career advice I’ve ever received came from Professor Wendy Noble, who has been an incredible inspiration throughout my education. Her guidance, insight, and encouragement not only helped me navigate my studies but also set me up for success in my career. I am deeply grateful for her mentorship and proud to honor her as someone who has truly made a lasting impact on my journey.

Q

What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

My advice to young women entering this industry is to dive deep within themselves to build confidence and put their best foot forward. Embrace every opportunity that comes your way, be open to new connections, and push yourself to tackle challenges head-on.

I also emphasize the importance of listening and learning from others, and balancing hands-on experience with formal education. Both are essential for growth and success in this field.

Q

What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?

1. Supply Chain Resilience and Geopolitical Instability

The era of “just-in-time” manufacturing has been severely tested by global disruptions (pandemics, regional conflicts, and trade tensions). Manufacturers are struggling to balance cost-efficiency with the need for redundant, localized, or diversified supply chains to prevent future bottlenecks.

2. The Skilled Labor Gap

There is a widening chasm between the skills required for modern, automated factories and the available workforce. As manufacturing becomes more digitized, the industry faces a shortage of workers proficient in robotics, data analytics, and software integration, compounded by an aging workforce retiring from traditional roles.

3. Sustainability and Decarbonization

Manufacturers are under immense pressure from regulators, investors, and consumers to reduce their carbon footprint. Transitioning to “Green Manufacturing”—which involves energy-efficient processes, circular economy models (recycling and reusing materials), and sustainable sourcing—requires significant capital investment and operational overhauls.

4. Cybersecurity Risks

As factories become more connected through the Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT), the “attack surface” for cybercriminals grows. A breach in a manufacturing facility can lead to intellectual property theft, production downtime, or even physical safety hazards, making cybersecurity a top-tier operational priority.

Q

What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

In both my work and personal life, creativity and passion are values I hold dear. In my spare time, I enjoy being a musician—playing multiple instruments and sharing the joy of music with others, which has been a lifelong part of who I am.

I am also deeply committed to giving back and supporting causes close to my heart. One cause I am proud to highlight is the Breast Cancer Foundation, which plays a vital role in cancer research. I hope to inspire others to contribute and make a difference through their support.
