Her Interview

Ten minutes with Loriann

01What do you attribute your success to?

I just YOLO, you only live once. I'm mainly working because I know I only live once and I have a limited amount of time to try to get something to leave behind for my kids.

02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?

My boss told me that I'm really smart and that I could be doing better. It's great to work with a good team of people.

03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

Just keep working at it and don't let nothing stop you. Trust your instincts. If you want to get something done and work towards your goals and dreams then do it because nobody else is gonna care about them like you do.

04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?

Challenge is trying to figure out how to intertwine the fun into it and the names of what to call it so the kids will be like oh that sounds like fun. Opportunity is creating a Native Connections page to bring up the movement for peace love and happiness and have a place where people can meet and share ideas.

05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

Helping the kids and being there for them. Dependability is really important, showing up and being there because I know what it's like to be let down as a kid.
