About Lorna
Lorna Roush has spent her entire life in agriculture, growing up on and later returning to her family ranch in Riverdale, California, after earning a bachelor's degree in ag business and working at an accounting firm. In her ranch role, she oversees accounting, legal affairs, compliance with California agricultural regulations and reporting, team coordination for projects, safety, and HR matters. Her leadership extends to serving as Treasurer of the Fresno County Farm Bureau and representing the county on the California State Farm Bureau. She is a past president of California Women for Ag in Fresno County and has held board positions with Horizon Pistachio Company and the Ag1 Foundation. Roush has received recognition as a Top 10 businesswoman through the Marjorie Mason Center and as Woman of the Year for District 21 from Assemblymember Jim Patterson for her work on a highway widening project.

01What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
Educate yourself. Become educated, ask questions, figure out what you need to do, rely on your team, and gain confidence.
02What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
State regulations in California tie hands; need to educate on regulations; being the only woman in meetings; decisions made by those without field experience.
