Her Story
About Lorrie
I started my career in 1999 as a licensed practical nurse in a facility caring for dying patients on long-term ventilators or with extensive wounds. Realizing nursing wasn't just about watching people die, I returned to school for my RN, bachelor's, master's, and earned my doctorate of nursing practice in 2020. By God's grace, I moved into leadership and now oversee emergency services at Ascension St. Vincent's, including two main emergency rooms and two freestanding facilities. I begin each day at 6 AM with a prayer ministry and then check on operations across the hospitals.
