About Lubna
Lubna Kohli has built her career in human resources since 2009 with a focus on recruiting operations and executive recruiting. She spent 11 years at KPMG, where she helped grow her team from 7 to 50 members while developing recruiting systems, operations functions, tools, technologies, reporting, data management, and national team oversight as a performance manager for eight of those years. After KPMG, she launched her own consulting practice and spent a year and a half assisting founders in developing AI-powered products for job seekers. She currently takes on one client at a time to support founders and is exploring a return to a Fortune 100 environment. Her Interview
Ten minutes with Lubna
01What do you attribute your success to?
I attribute my success to mindfulness, which I built from day one in my career. I treat my work as art or meditation. I don't react when others react. I've always worked with high achievers where there's a lot of stress, but I predict when someone's going to react and already have a backup plan ready. I am mindful about what can go wrong and have backup solutions ready.
