Lucy Lavette is a seasoned prepaid fintech product leader dedicated to making financial access simpler, smarter, and scalable. With over a decade of experience in banking and electronic payments, she has developed a strong foundation in delivering innovative product solutions that meet customer needs across a wide range of industries. Lucy’s expertise spans product strategy, project management, marketing, Agile methodology, and product discovery and design, enabling her to effectively define business and technical requirements, drive cardholder retention, and enhance the overall customer experience.
Currently serving as the Director of Product Solutions at Dash Solutions, Lucy has led cross-functional teams to successfully develop and relaunch mobile applications, execute product roadmaps, and demonstrate product value to executive leadership. Her leadership style is rooted in collaboration, empathy, and strategic vision, ensuring that every solution she delivers not only meets business objectives but also creates meaningful, real-world impact for users. Prior to Dash Solutions, Lucy honed her financial acumen as an Assistant Relationship Manager at ServisFirst Bank, supporting high-value portfolios and cultivating relationships with both clients and internal stakeholders.
Beyond her professional achievements, Lucy is deeply committed to community service and advocacy. She has volunteered with organizations such as Magic Moments, Preschool Partners, and the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network (PanCAN), where she has served as PurpleStride chair to raise awareness and funds for pancreatic cancer research in honor of her mother. Her personal experiences navigating life’s challenges have shaped her empathetic approach to leadership and product development, underscoring her belief that behind every transaction is a person—and behind every solution should be compassion.

What do you attribute your success to?
I attribute my success to a combination of experience, adaptability, and a genuine desire to make a difference. Before pivoting into fintech, my background in banking provided a strong foundation for my current role as Director of Product Solutions. Over the past 13 years in the industry, including nine with my current company, I’ve seen the business from the ground up—starting as an account manager during an exciting period of growth, becoming the first team member to step into a product management role, and being part of the company’s first major funding round.
One of my proudest achievements was leading the 2020 launch of our cardholder mobile app, which delivered meaningful value for both users and the business. At the heart of my work is a belief that financial wellness should be accessible to everyone. Creating products that empower people to improve their lives is deeply motivating and drives everything I do.
I credit my success to adaptability and resilience, qualities I’ve strengthened by navigating personal and professional challenges. Ultimately, my goal has always been to be a changemaker—someone who leaves a lasting, positive impact—and I feel fortunate to have had the opportunity to do just that.
