Her Interview

Ten minutes with Luna

01What do you attribute your success to?

I attribute my success to my creativity, persistence, and the guidance of the mentors and people I met throughout my career who gave me a blueprint for achieving my goals. I have also been inspired by my mother, whose influence helped shape my determination and passion. These experiences have motivated me to continue growing both personally and professionally.

02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?

The best career advice I have received is to always be myself and never let this industry take that away from me. I also believe in paying that advice forward by mentoring younger culinary professionals and helping them grow in their own careers.

03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

I would encourage young women to never let this industry dull their sparkle. Stay true to who you are, even when others try to define you differently. Keep learning, remain resilient through difficult moments, and never believe you have finished growing. As you gain experience, take the opportunity to mentor and support others coming into the profession.

04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?

One of the biggest challenges is overcoming the traditional male-dominated culture, toxic leadership styles, and the tendency for talented individuals to be overlooked. At the same time, I see tremendous opportunity in the industry's growing embrace of compassionate leadership, healthier workplace cultures, and organizations that actively encourage creativity and innovation in culinary professionals.

05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

I value maintaining a healthy balance between my work and personal life while leading with compassion, creativity, authenticity, and open communication. I believe creating an inclusive, supportive environment allows both individuals and teams to thrive while producing their best work.
