Her Interview

Ten minutes with Lydia

01What do you attribute your success to?

My faith has been key because there are many times that I've fallen and didn't know how to get out but God. Also tenacity and a can-do spirit. Emotional intelligence changed my trajectory. I choose to forgive and be my own advocate. Behind every no there's a yes and I always look for options.

02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?

Emotional intelligence is critical. I learned it about 14-15 years ago and it changed my trajectory for a better future. It made a whole lot of difference.

03What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

Fairness - if I had a middle name it would be fairness. Every human should be treated with dignity and respect regardless. Credibility.
