About Lynda

Lynda Gibbons serves as CEO and President of Gibbons-White, Inc., the firm she established in 1986. She brings more than four decades of experience to her work in commercial real estate management and brokerage. Her expertise centers on mentoring team members and designing effective systems for asset and property management, along with investment advisory services, acquisitions, dispositions, leasing, and representation for landlords, tenants, buyers, and sellers. Gibbons earned a bachelor's degree in molecular biology with a minor in biochemistry, which provided an analytical foundation for her career. She has obtained certificates in commercial real estate, leasing, management, and selling. She has served on the Denver Metro Area Board of Realtors, the University of Colorado Board of Trustees, and as Executive Board Chair of the Boulder Economic Development Committee. Her community involvement includes the Boulder Community Health Foundation, the Boulder Children's Museum, and volunteering as a court-appointed special advocate with Voices for Children (CASA). She received an award from the Boulder Chamber of Commerce recognizing women who like the community. Gibbons attributes her success to a blend of passion, energy, tenacity, and a fusion of left-brain analytical skills with right-brain empathy and listening. She advises young women entering the field to build confidence in math and analysis while learning to listen deeply.

01What do you attribute your success to?

A blend of passion, energy, tenacity along with a right brain, left-brain connection so the left brain being very linear and logical and math-oriented, and the right brain being very socially present, emotionally available to clients, understanding, empathetic, listening.

02What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

Make sure you're confident with math and analysis and learn to listen deeply.

03What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?

The government response to COVID caused companies to not be able to bring workers together in office space and changed the character of the world's office connection forever. Opportunities include creativity, repositioning office product to other uses, being creative and flexible with commercial real estate.

04What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

Honesty, tenacity, determination, energy, passion. Also a fusion of left brain linear logical math-oriented traits and right brain socially present emotionally available empathetic listening traits.
