Her Story

About Lyndee

As Vice President of Marketing at Fort Financial Credit Union, I lead with authenticity, resilience, and purpose, demonstrating that women don't have to choose between a successful career, family, community involvement, and personal goals. As a wife, mother, nonprofit board member for Summit Equestrian Center, and competitor preparing for a bodybuilding stage, I strive to lead by example, showing that discipline, determination, and balance can coexist.

Through my leadership, mentorship, and service, I inspire women and those in my community to pursue their ambitions with confidence, embrace opportunities for growth, and recognize that strength is built through perseverance. I believe that the most meaningful influence comes not from what we say, but from the example we set every day.

Ten minutes with Lyndee

01What do you attribute your success to?

I attribute my success to perseverance, a willingness to continuously learn, and never allowing my current circumstances to define my potential. I didn't follow the traditional path—I earned my associate degree after becoming an executive. Throughout my career, I've believed that hard work, curiosity, and consistently delivering results matter more than waiting until you feel perfectly qualified. Every opportunity I've been given has been earned through showing up, solving problems, and continually finding ways to grow.

02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?

The best advice I've ever received wasn't career advice, it was life advice from my dad. The truth is, he never had to tell me; he showed me every day through the example he set. He taught me that success comes from showing up, working hard, staying consistent, and taking pride in everything you do.

My dad is the hardest-working person I know, and watching his dedication throughout my life shaped who I am today. He taught me that while talent may open doors, it's character, perseverance, and consistency that build a meaningful career and a fulfilling life.

03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

Don't wait until you feel completely qualified to pursue the opportunities you want. Some of the greatest growth in my career came from stepping outside my comfort zone and saying yes before I had every answer.

Be curious, ask questions, and never stop learning. Your education doesn't end when you earn a degree, it continues through every experience, every challenge, and every person you're willing to learn from. Focus on building a reputation for being dependable, working with integrity, and following through on your commitments.

Most importantly, don't compare your journey to anyone else's. Success isn't about having the perfect path; it's about consistently showing up, putting in the work, and believing you're capable of more than you think. Confidence grows through action, not by waiting until you feel ready.

04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?

One of the biggest opportunities in marketing today is the ability to create more meaningful, personalized experiences through data, technology, and AI. Marketers have access to more insights than ever before, allowing us to better understand audiences and communicate in ways that are more relevant and impactful.

At the same time, one of our biggest challenges is ensuring that technology enhances, not replaces, the human connection. Consumers are looking for authenticity, trust, and brands that genuinely understand their needs. The marketers who will make the greatest impact are those who embrace innovation while remembering that, at its core, marketing is about building relationships with people.

05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

The values that guide both my work and personal life are integrity, perseverance, continuous growth, and service. I believe in doing the right thing, even when no one is watching, following through on my commitments, and always striving to leave people and organizations better than I found them.

I'm also a firm believer that growth is a lifelong journey. Whether it's advancing my education, taking on new professional challenges, serving my community, or pursuing personal goals like bodybuilding, I believe there's always an opportunity to learn and become better than you were yesterday.

Above all, my family is my foundation. Being a wife and mother reminds me that success isn't measured only by professional accomplishments, but by the impact we have on the people around us. I strive to lead with humility, serve with purpose, and set an example that my kids can be proud of.
