Her Story
About Lyndi
I've been a speaker and teacher for over 30 years, starting from a very young age. My dad was a minister, and my sisters and I were raised preaching and teaching the gospel. We all became speakers and accepted missions. I went through Kingdom Ministry school, which was far more stringent than Toastmasters. There I learned how to use illustrations, overcome objections, highlight important points, and support them with scripture. I spoke every week for a minimum of 3 to 5 hours for over 30 years. After retiring, I'm now returning to my love of public speaking, but addressing people in general with personal development and positive mindset teachings. I've built a library of personal development books since I was young, and I've created a trademarked course called The Right Choice Project. My goal is to go to universities and colleges to talk to young people about how to make the best choice for their life before they make a bunch of mistakes. As a coach, I work with clients who have a powerful desire to move forward, helping them apply what they learn to transform their lives.

01What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
The greatest piece of advice I've received is: does it really resonate with you? Is this really what you want? I spent many, many decades of my life trying to please other people, and that's not always bad. But you need to find out what works for you, because what works for you may not work for someone else.
02What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
The main challenge is that I can't do the reps for someone else. It's like joining a gym but never going - that membership hasn't helped you much. You have to apply what you learn. As a coach, my clients have to have a powerful desire to go forward, because I can't fix their life for them. If what I'm saying isn't going into their mind and heart, I can't really help them.
