Lynesha Sweeney
Lynesha D. Sweeney, DBA, MBA-PM, PMP, CSPHP, is a results-driven strategic and project management professional with over 11 years of experience leading healthcare operations, clinical engineering initiatives, and cross-functional program delivery. At TriMedx, she serves as Implementation Manager, overseeing enterprise-wide technology deployments, mentoring teams, and driving continuous improvement processes that enhance patient outcomes and operational efficiency. Lynesha excels at aligning multidisciplinary teams, converting complex programs into actionable plans, and supporting adoption of innovative solutions across healthcare environments.
A passionate advocate for STEM education, Lynesha has dedicated significant time to the National Society of Black Engineers (NSBE), serving in leadership roles such as STEM Festival Program Director and TORCH Chairperson. Through these positions, she has promoted science, technology, engineering, and mathematics to children and underrepresented communities, developing programs and metrics to maximize impact and foster the next generation of engineers and innovators.

What do you attribute your success to?
I attribute my success to a combination of focus, education, networking, and determination. Staying committed to my goals, continuously learning, building meaningful connections, and persevering through challenges have all played a key role in my journey.
What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
The best career advice I’ve ever received is to challenge yourself—that’s how you grow and learn. I’ve also been reminded to think through every decision carefully and to step up as a leader whenever the opportunity arises.
What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
I would advise young women entering my industry to get involved with professional groups, seek out mentorship, and also be a mentor to others. Believe that there’s nothing you can’t achieve, and don’t be afraid to go after your dreams.
What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
One of the biggest challenges—and opportunities—in my field right now is expanding awareness and building connections with more companies. It’s about letting organizations know we’re here to help and demonstrating the value we can bring to their teams and operations.
