Her Interview

Ten minutes with Lynn

01What do you attribute your success to?

I attribute my success to the balance I’ve cultivated between my personal and professional life. Sharing the joys of grandparenting with my husband, caring for our beloved cat, and spending meaningful time with family and friends keeps me grounded and fulfilled. Equally important is the creative fulfillment I find in developing film and television concepts that inspire, entertain, and connect with others. Together, these personal connections and creative pursuits energize me, fuel my passion, and contribute greatly to both my professional accomplishments and overall sense of purpose.

02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?

The best career advice I’ve ever received was to never allow fear, doubt, or lack of experience to stop me from pursuing a vision placed on my heart. That advice taught me to trust my instincts, embrace growth through discomfort, and move forward even when the path wasn’t completely clear. It’s a mindset that has guided me through building businesses, creating film and television concepts, and pursuing dreams that once felt far beyond my reach.

03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

My advice to young women entering this industry is to always bet on yourself. Stay committed, persevere through challenges, and keep seeking opportunities. Remember, every 'no' is simply a 'not right now,' so never give up on your dreams. Remember to always DreamBIG!

04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?

One of the biggest opportunities in the film and television industry right now is the growing demand for authentic, diverse, and emotionally resonant storytelling. Audiences are seeking content that reflects real people, real struggles, and perspectives that have historically been overlooked. This creates incredible space for independent creators to develop fresh, meaningful concepts that connect on a deeper level.

At the same time, one of the industry’s greatest challenges is breaking through the noise in an oversaturated content landscape. With so many platforms and creators competing for attention, it takes not only creativity, but persistence, strategic relationships, and the ability to adapt to rapidly changing audience behaviors and technology. I see that challenge as an opportunity to continue innovating and creating stories that genuinely move people.

05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

The values that matter most to me in both my work and personal life are integrity, compassion, creativity, and authenticity. I believe in treating people with respect, leading with honesty, and remaining true to who I am regardless of the environment I’m in. Compassion and empathy are especially important to me because they allow me to genuinely connect with others and understand the stories, struggles, and dreams that shape their lives.
